Usually it takes 5–10 working days, depending on name approval and document submission.
2. Do I need to be a resident to open a company in Cyprus?
No. Foreign nationals and non-residents can fully own a Cyprus company.
3. Are there any requirements for the approval of a Company name?
Yes, the company name should be unique and do not resemble the names of existing companies too closely or contain restricted terms, such as “international”, “global”, “bank”, “insurance”, “university”, without special permissions.
4. Can a company be registered remotely?
Yes. A Cyprus company can be registered, without visiting the country, through local service providers, such us law firms, who handle everything.
5. Is it possible to acquire residency by forming a Company in Cyprus?
Forming a company doesn’t automatically give residency, but it can help as part of residence by employment permits, such as in cases of company of foreign affairs.
6. How much are usually the Cyprus Companies Registrar fees for the registration of a Company?
The Companies Registrar fees vary depending on each specific case. However, usually for a Company with a Share Capital of €1000 is approximately €650.
